  • Employment: general Human Resources matters including internal investigations and disciplinary processes; engagement with unions; collective bargaining; vulnerable employee matters under the Employment Relations Act; understanding and complying with the new Employment Standards rules
  • Governance: Board advisory and Company Secretary matters; development of Governance protocols; assistance to manage Board processes
  • Privacy: personal information disclosures/breaches; access requests; engagement with Privacy Commission and funders; policy development; education for staff and management in respect of obligations under the Privacy Act 1993 and Health Information Privacy Code 1994
  • Health and safety: statutory compliance and policy development under the new statutory framework; WorkSafe process and engagement
  • New legislation: submissions to Parliament; understanding implications; ensuring compliance; education for staff and management
  • New case law: understanding implications from new judgments (in relevant areas such as employment, health and safety, privacy and general commercial); ensuring compliance; education for staff and management
  • Legal compliance: Legal compliance programme development and education for staff and management
  • Quality management via policy development and internal audit processes; incident investigations and reports
  • Sector lobbying, negotiations and changes (eg Sleepovers; Family Carers; In-Between Travel; Equal Pay; Employment Standards) – engagement with Parliament advisors; advice and drafting submissions and discussion papers; experience in legislative drafting and development
